Dear visitors to the Public Fund "Urpaktar" website! Our web-site is dedicated to the memory of Zholbarys Toryuly, my ancestor from the clan Tabyn, sub-clan Dauyltai.
We could have been proud of great warriors, scientists, enlighteners, and talented poets, but the troubled history of ancient years brought to us the names of only a few glorious representatives of our people. It goes without saying that Zholbarys batyr Toryuly is one of the most brightest local personalities (circa 1785 - 1874), who lived, fought and was buried in his native Burlin district, West Kazakhstan Region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Batyr's remains are buried 4 kilometers from the town of Aksai. Now he is a fairly well-known personality of our region: for many years already his coat of mail has been kept in the regional museum of local lore and is the oldest museum exhibit; the republican, regional and district newspapers and television publish and broadcast materials about Zholbarys Toryuly. At present, the younger generation's interest for the past has awakened. And it is natural, because people need to know about the act of valour of the legendary heroes and the history of the location where they live. I am proud of the history of my clan and the fate of my small homeland - the town of Aksai. I hope that soon our district and town will become a major historical and cultural hub that will help cultivate the national culture, traditions and customs of the people living in the district.
